Our Story

Our story begins on a dairy farm in central Nebraska where our owner Shaun Clinger learned the value of hard work and doing a job right the first time. Shaun grew-up with a passion for working on cars, racing his Trans Am and repairing farm equipment. In 1993 Shaun attended Southeast Community College Autobody Repair Program in Milford, NE where he graduated at the top of his class with honors. Shaun has served the collision repair industry now for over 30 years in various capacities as a technician, manager, insurance adjuster, volunteering on various industry boards and now owner of Collision Solutions Truck Repair which was founded Jan 1st of 2021. Shaun’s wife Marla joined the business full time in January of 2023 adding some class to the office.

We are proud to have assembled one of the best teams in the area to tackle any sized repair for your Class 8 trucks, RVs of all styles, Emergency Vehicles & Heavy Equipment. We pride ourselves in being the first choice for fleets, owner operators, construction companies, municipalities, recreational owners, and fire and rescue crews all across Central Iowa and beyond.

Being a family business is important to us. We strive to treat our employees and customers as such. In doing so, we refuse to cut corners. We use quality Imron paint products, stand behind what we do and deliver every vehicle with pride knowing that you could have chosen anyone to place you trust in, but you chose us. We don’t take that likely.

Collision solutions repaired a peterbilt for me and the work performed was professional and fairly priced.

A year later i asked Shaun if he would tackle painting a car for me. Collison solutions took on a full repaint project and the guys in the shop treated my car as if it was theirs. My car turned out wonderful.

Originally I was going to take it to a RV dealer, but instead thought "I need to take this to a fiberglass repair company". At the end of the day, the camper dealer was going to send it to a fiberglass repair so I might as well cut out the middle man!
I google searched and found a couple places in Des Moines. Collision Solutions was my first stop... and being that it was in a more industrial area dealing with semi trucks, I was a bit hesitant.
Once I stepped inside and talked to the sweet receptionist and also Shaun, all my concerns were set aside and I didn't even go look for a competitive quote.
They... were... awesome. Super friendly. Super knowledgeable.
Their ability to diagnose our repair just from some photos... give me a fair estimate... and get me scheduled (since we live fulltime in our RV) was beyond expectations!
When we got it back... in record time... it looked BRAND NEW!

Shaun said to bring it in and they looked at it immediately. To me it seemed like they dropped everything to help me.
